Delph House39 Residents, 51 Staff, Dual Registered Home Built in 1850 and formerly an old country manor house, Delph House is a dual registered Home. Over the years the home has undergone extensive refurbishment culminating in a fourteen bed residential wing completed in 2000. Manager Jan Jenkins explains why they needed to change their nurse call system: "Our old nurse call system was reliant on pagers but we didnt have enough pagers, they were always out of stock, discontinued and expensive to repair. I previously managed a home using a wireless system and after careful consideration chose the Courtney-Thorne system." "We liked the panels as they have excellent visibility along with good audibility and are located in suitable positions for the staff to see." |
The Courtney-Thorne control panel is designed with a large display so that it can be easily seen and therefore makes the daily running of the care home more efficient. A volume control is incorporated in the panel so the volume can be adjusted to the required level. "The installation was done in a morning and there was very little disruption to residents," recalls Jan. With so many health authorities requiring proof that a nurse call system has been properly installed and maintained we provide a service certificate on all our service visits. Jan says, "this has proved very useful when we have an inspection". |
